Spike’s survival guide
Spike’s a loner. After years of destroying everything and everyone around him, he’s decided to just do this life thing alone. He’s a tough plant to love, to do so means you have to accept getting hurt. Nobody gets close to him. His spines take care of that because he is a cactus after all. Spike doesn’t believe in happiness. The only time he’s ever felt close to being happy is when he finally pricked that dog that kept sniffing around in his business.
What makes Spike so special
These cacti are experts at growing but they need lots of room and space to do this. It would be advised to put a Spike in a large container of some sort, in a place that you don’t mind it taking over. In the summer, water regularly, but be careful and don’t overdo it. Just like any other cactus, Spike is prone to root rot which is never a good look on a cactus. In the winter keep him mostly dry and water very sparingly. Fertilize with a high potassium fertilizer in the spring and summer months.
